Brava: Minister Amadeu Cruz visits the island to assess the education sector.

The four-day visit, which began on Monday the 13th, included meetings with the city council, the island's school delegation team, as well as visits to various educational establishments.

In statements to the press, the governor explained that this trip is part of a series of visits made at the beginning of the legislature, emphasizing that this is the last visit, during this term, to an island outside of Santiago.

According to him, Brava Island has recorded "extraordinary results" in the field of education, with indicators that are already converging with the national average.

In secondary education, he added, the island shows results slightly above the national average.

Despite the progress, the governor acknowledged the existence of challenges, pointing to the need to complete the works at the Nossa Senhora do Monte School and the adaptation of the Sena Barcelos School, as well as the Nova Sintra Central School, to accommodate the services of the Ministry of Education's delegation on the island.

In the area of school social action, he mentioned improvements in school transport, in partnership with the local council, as well as in the provision of textbooks and the operation of school canteens.

The minister also highlighted the progress made in educational inclusion, indicating that the multidisciplinary support team and the inclusive education system are fully operational on the island.
